What a great day!
Our friends from the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) have joined us today to launch our Future Make project. We are so excited and the children are already fully engaged.
We live in the age of the fourth industrial revolution. The tools, resources and technology available to us to make a better world are unprecedented – and Future Make is designed to give your child a taste of that future, to inspire them as a designer, maker, creator and engineer. Designed to support learning about the qualities and skills needed to thrive in the 21st century workplace, Future Make will help nurture technical, team-working, leadership and problem-solving skills and provide access to new technologies in a fun and challenging way. It will also offer a taste of potential futures in the creative and digital industries, which are worth £92 billion to the UK economy annually and growing at twice the rate of other sectors.
We are proud to host a Future Make after school club which will run for 10-week's, running from 4-6pm on Tuesdays at Sherford Vale Primary School starting after February half term. For more information on the ten-week (20 hour) programme please speak to Mrs Barrett on 01752 891795.
