We were given a lovely mixture of sweets to classify in our own ways. Some groups classed them by colour of packaging, some by their textures.

This led our thinking scientifically and how Carl Linnaeus (a Swedish botanist from the 1700s) decided to classify all living things to make it easier to compare and study different species and varieties of plants.

Next, we will take this learning outside to study the different plants and how their leaves differ to adapt to their environment.
