About Us

Head's Welcome

May I offer you a very warm welcome to Sherford Vale School and Nursery the first Primary School to be established in the new town of Sherford!

I am privileged to be the Headteacher of this School at the very heart of the community. We provide an exceptional place to learn, play and grow. It is a special place to be.

This website will offer you an insight into Sherford Vale and how you and your children can become part of this amazing journey towards excellence.  Details of how you can secure a place for your child to join our school are on the Admissions page.

Sherford Vale is a purpose-built school. Our extensive grounds include: a MUGA, outdoor classrooms, large green spaces, and an adventure trail. Our school environment is calm and safe, enabling children to succeed.

Children are engaged in and enjoy their learning. Our curriculum inspires all children to achieve, make progress and be successful learners. The knowledge and learning provided equips children with a secure foundation in their learning journey and for life.

Learning is taken beyond the classroom with trips, visitors and residentials, further developing links with our wider community and enhancing our creative, ambitious and knowledge rich curriculum.

We are proud that Sherford Vale School and Nursery is a happy, supportive, and aspirational place to be.

Our school provides before and after-school care with full access to our substantive grounds and sporting facilities.  Sherford Vale School & Nursery is part of the established and successful family of schools within Westcountry Schools Trust offering immediate opportunities for specialist teaching, educational roles and collaboration.

We welcome parents and members of the community to join us as we continue to grow and develop as a school and community. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children and our community and a community that your family are delighted to be part of.

Best wishes

Susie Evans
